Learn two of the techniques I use to make my version of a Picasso
painting, Raphael’s Angels, or even Mona Lisa!
You don’t know it yet, but by the time
you finish this mini-workshop you will understand how I choose color to create stunning, artful quilts!
Wouldn’t it be amazing to begin to gain
the attention of judges and friends for your own quilts! Well it is possible if you if you allow yourself to absorb all of my easy fabric/color selection techniques in
this lesson. The techniques can be applied to art quilts and traditional quilt patterns.
Okay, you’re probably thinking “What can she teach me?!” Well,
if you think you already “know it all”, I suggest that you stop reading now!....My new techniques are not for you, you must be
willing to keep an open mind because my ideas are new and unconventional! Keep reading and you’ll learn about my new cutting edge system.
Let me confess, I wanted my quilts to look like the pros, but I
didn’t know how. So to learn I began to read as many quilting books as I could find…..The books were very good but so complicated! I was impressed with the information but the
authors lost me when they started talking about the Color Wheel and Triadic Partners or split Complements?!! Wow, I read the
books and I still don’t know how to use these concepts! The books made me feel really dumb! I became afraid of making the wrong color decisions! (keep reading to learn my easy method
of choosing colors with the color wheel)
If you’re like me, what I was looking for was easy to understand
and down to earth techniques to create:
- Depth
- Luminosity
- Shadows
- Highlights
- Luster
- And even transparency in my quilts!
